What sits on the floor in Vandalia.

18,400 active SKUs, listed below by category with the size ranges, grades, finishes and governing standards we actually hold. Anything outside these ranges we source. Stocked-elsewhere items are typically two to five working days; made-to-print, modified or plated parts are quoted by operation, and we'll tell you which it is before you commit.

On grade markings: GR5 carries three radial lines on the head, GR8 carries six. If the head in your hand is unmarked, bring it to the counter rather than guessing — we'll identify it off the bench.

Point selection: a self-drilling screw only works if the point out-drills the stack. Tell us the total metal thickness and we'll tell you which point number to run.

Stainless

Stainless and non-ferrous

Our fastest-turning line. 18-8 covers general corrosion service; 316 goes where there's chloride, wash-down or salt. We stock both rather than substituting one for the other quietly.

18-8 General Service

Caps, sockets, machine screws, nuts and washers in the sizes that move weekly. Passivated, no plating to chip off.

18-8 · 304 / passivated, plain

316 Marine & Wash-Down

Held separately from the 18-8 bins and bagged marked. If your print calls 316, you get 316 — not the close-enough grade.

316 / passivated

Brass & Silicon Bronze

Small machine screws and washers for electrical, instrument and marine trim work in the common small diameters.

Galling: stainless-on-stainless seizes under speed and load. For 3/8 in. and up we'll suggest an anti-seize or a dissimilar nut material rather than let you find out on the assembly floor.

Coarse or fine? M8 is 1.25 pitch coarse and 1.00 fine, and the two thread into each other just far enough to fool you. Give us the pitch off the print or bring a sample and we'll gauge it.

How to read this page

Stocked means stocked — on the shelf, in Vandalia.

The ranges above are what we hold, not a supplier catalogue we can theoretically pull from. If a size sits inside a listed range, it is nearly always on the floor and will ship the same afternoon on an order placed before 4:00 PM ET.

Outside the range doesn't mean no. It means we tell you which it is — stocked elsewhere at two to five working days, or an operation we quote by that operation.

  • Size ranges are inclusive of both end sizes shown
  • Finish abbreviations: ZP zinc, ZY yellow chromate, HDG hot-dip galvanized
  • Grades listed are stocked grades, not the full published range
  • Metric DIN numbers shown in brackets are withdrawn but still in trade use
  • Certs and country of origin available on every graded line

If it isn't listed

We source to print, and we say so up front.

Odd sizes, non-standard heads, unusual finishes and per-print parts go out to our mill and plating sources. Stocked-elsewhere items run two to five working days; anything needing an operation is quoted by that operation and source.

What we won't do is quietly substitute a near-match. If we can't get exactly what you called out, you'll hear the alternative and the tradeoff before anything ships.

  • Per-print and modified standard parts
  • Non-standard lengths, cut and re-chamfered in house
  • Plating and coating to your specification
  • Patching, thread locking and thread masking
  • Domestic-only sourcing where the contract requires it
  • Import sourcing where the price break justifies the lead time

Not sure what the part is called?

Bring us the print, the old part, or a photograph of what came out. We identify parts off a bench sample most days of the week.
