Capabilities

The work that happens between the shelf and your bench

Most of what we do is pick, pack and ship. The rest is the handling that turns a carton of loose fasteners into something your line can consume without a second operation.

What We Handle

Kitted, counted, cut and labelled — before it leaves Vandalia

Everything below is done on stock we already own. That is the whole point: the part is on the floor, so the handling adds days instead of weeks.

Packaging & Kitting

Packed the way you'll actually use it

Standard mill packs get decanted on your floor and miscounted. We break them here, on calibrated counting scales, and label them so the bin matches your system.

Bin Quantities

Counted and bagged to your bin size instead of standard mill packs, so nothing gets decanted on your floor and miscounted.

Poly bag · Counted / to your min-max

Your Part Number On The Label

Bar-coded labels carrying your internal number, our number, description, quantity, heat lot and country of origin.

Bar code · Heat lot · COO / your format

Assembly Kits

Bolt, nut and washer combinations bagged as a single unit for field crews, so a fitter isn't matching hardware on a lift.

Bolt · Nut · Washer / one bag, one unit

Production Kits

All the hardware for one build, in one bag, sequenced to the work instruction. Common on low-volume, high-mix assembly.

Sequenced to BOM / low volume, high mix

Bulk Breakdown

Keg and carton quantities broken into counted packs, weighed on calibrated counting scales rather than estimated.

Keg · Carton · Counted pack / scale verified

Poly, Box Or Returnable

Packed into your returnable totes if you run them, which keeps the dunnage out of your waste stream.

Poly · Carton · Returnable tote / your dunnage

On counts: every counted pack is weighed on a calibrated counting scale, not estimated by eye or by carton fraction. If a bin comes up short, tell your salesperson and we'll pull the weigh record for that pack.

Inventory Programs

We'll carry the safety stock so you don't have to

Every one of these is a way of moving the cost of holding inventory off your balance sheet and onto ours. That only works if the forecast is honest, so we set them up on real usage, not optimism.

Stock & Release

Commit annually, release monthly

You commit to a year's usage at a fixed price, we buy it and hold it, and you pull against it as you need it. Price is locked for the term.

Bin Stocking

We walk the floor and fill the bins

Scheduled visits to your plant on a route. We count, refill to your min-max and leave the paperwork. You're billed for what we put in the bin.

Consignment

Stock sits on your floor, we own it until you use it

For high-usage items where a stockout costs more than the carrying charge. Reconciled monthly against your consumption.

Blanket Orders

One purchase order, scheduled releases

Cuts the paperwork on repeat items to a single PO per year with delivery dates set against your build schedule.

Secondary Processing

Modifications, in house and out

Cutting and light modification happen here in Vandalia. Plating, patching and heat treat go to sources we've used for years — named on request, and we don't rotate them to chase a nickel.

Rod Cut To Length

Cut and chamfered, both ends dressed so the nut starts clean. Same day on stock rod.

In house / same day

Bolt Shortening

Re-pointed after cutting, with the grade marking on the head preserved.

In house / 1 – 2 days

Drilling & Slotting

Cotter pin holes, wire holes and screwdriver slots to your dimension.

In house / 2 – 3 days

Sorting & Inspection

100% visual or dimensional sort to defined acceptance criteria.

In house / 1 – 3 days

Sourced To Print

Send the print. If it isn't a catalogue part we go to the mills and cold headers we already buy from, quote it against your quantity, and tell you the lead time straight.

Outside sources are named on request. We've used the same platers and patch houses for years and we don't rotate them to chase a nickel — because the day you get a bad lot, we want to know whose tank it came out of.

Finishes On The Floor

Same part, four finishes, all stocked

Bright zinc, yellow chromate, black oxide and stainless. If the finish you need is one we send out, the base part is still here — which is what makes the turnaround a week instead of a quarter.

Delivery

Our own truck inside the Dayton radius

We run a box truck on standing routes through the Miami Valley four days a week. Everything off-route goes common carrier or small parcel, shipped the same afternoon if the order lands before four.

Ask your salesperson which day your plant falls on. Off-route orders still ship the same afternoon.

  • Same-day shipment on stock orders placed before 4:00 PM ET
  • Own-truck delivery on scheduled Miami Valley routes, next day when your route runs
  • Standing route: Dayton, Springfield, Piqua, Sidney, Middletown, Hamilton
  • Will-call at the Vandalia dock until 5:00 PM, no appointment
  • Emergency and after-hours pulls by arrangement with your salesperson
  • Drop shipment direct to your jobsite where it makes sense

Most of this starts with a conversation about usage

Tell us what you go through in a year and where you keep running short. That's usually enough to figure out which program is worth setting up.
